Water follows the paving toward the door. Without collection, it gathers at the threshold.
What to notice.
A channel drain collects sheet flow along a line and connects it to a discharge route. Its position matters: water has to reach the grate before it reaches the doorway. Real performance also depends on the grate, pipe capacity, debris and a suitable outlet.
